About This Experience
Start from your hotel in Medan in the early hours, ascend through misty highland trails, witness bubbling sulfur vents, and soak in hot springs.
Embark on an unforgettable sunrise trek to the summit of Mount Sibayak, one of North Sumatra’s most accessible active volcanoes. Starting from Medan in the early hours (around 2:00 AM), our private transport will whisk you away through the night toward the Karo Highlands.
You’ll ascend through misty highland trails to reach the crater rim just as the first light breaks over the horizon. Witness the otherworldly landscape of bubbling sulfur vents and steaming fumaroles in the glowing morning light.
After taking stunning photographs from the summit peak, we descend through the jungle toward Raja Berneh to rejuvenate in the natural volcanic hot springs of Lau Debuk-Debuk before having a traditional Indonesian breakfast and returning to your hotel in Medan.
